About the owner, Peggy Fry

36 Years Experience & 30 Years of owning Tryanglez Salon

I am a motivated hairdresser always seeking the best.  Whether it’s a new styling technique, tool, product, color or permanent texture changes.  Going to hair shows and doing hands on class work is where I keep my skill levels up to par with the industry. I hold a teacher’s license in cosmetology and have had the pleasure of teaching in 2 private cosmetology schools, as well as, substituting at my alma mater- Columbia Montour vo-tech school, in cosmetology.  I am part of the Cosmetology Occupational Advisory Board at Columbia Montour Vo-Tech.  We provide input from the outside world and assist with what salon owner/managers are looking for in an employee.  We want the students to come out of school prepared for employment.

My most memorable moments in hairdressing would be when I had the opportunity to take classes from the famed Nick Arrojo, from the TLC show, “What Not To Wear”.  I had the opportunity to meet him again in 2017 at the 100th Anniversary of the International Beauty Show in New York City, watching him in action once more!  In the Fall of 2017, I took a class with Tabatha Coffey as a main presenter, from Bravo’s shows “Tabatha Salon Take Over, Tabatha Takes Over and Relative $uccess with Tabatha”.

This salon will be my 4th and final salon.  My first salon was on Mill Street, where I started out at 24 years old.  I stayed there for six years before buying a building on Bloom Road where I wanted to expand, hire additional people to bring more variety into the salon.  After six years, I decided that it was a lot of unnecessary headaches I was imposing on myself.  I sold the building and went back to renting a small place where I could concentrate on bringing my best to my customers, giving them personalized attention.  Fast forward in time, an additional nine years had gone by.  The years between 2012 & 2016 were spent renovating my current salon at 28 Lower Mulberry Street, while simultaneously keeping up with my business on Rooney Avenue.  It was truly a long haul with many ups and downs and tear filled days at times.  But the result is a beautiful, one of a kind building that has never been seen before in this area as a salon.  I officially opened this salon in 2016 and have now been open for eight years at this final location.  I am very proud of the salon and hope you will like and appreciate coming in and getting your services done just as much as I will be enjoying doing them.  This will be my last and final jaunt down this road of moving my salon.  This is where my story will finish up at, 28 Lower Mulberry Street, in this beauty career.

April is Earth month and this year, 2024, my salon has been named the #1 salon in North America by Vish Waste Warriors!  You can read the article in it’s entirety here or in the Accomplishments page.

So come and join me in a truly unique salon experience, with one on one servicing.  Let me introduce you to a new brand of products, Tryanglez Salon, The Signature Line, and be part of my interpretation of what customer service should be everywhere.  I look forward to seeing you!
